Question When does CO fare match?

I've noticed that on itasoftware.com one can fly IAH-LHR RT for as low as $319 AI (3/24 - 3/27). Looks like one books on Iberia.com but flight is actually a non-stop BA.
The present CO fare for the same dates is $691 AI!!!
Is it likely CO will match? If so, when would they likely post matching fares?

They'll fare match if they want to fare match. I wouldn't hold my breath. Especially considering that most airlines fuel surcharges cost more than $319 r/t for this route.

There is NO reason for CO to match the fare. The demand is there. They are selling seats to LHR more than they are competing with BA. The airlnes have figured out that the key to profits is controlling inventory; i.e. available seats. So now it is, "you want to fly to LHR?, here what it will cost you."

I haven't seen CO match fares very much recently. While there might be a few mor empty seats on some flights - CO has made the decision to hold fares and let some go empty. The net is likely more income.

Historically, CO tends to follow AA. UA does the same thing.

That IB fare was a mistake by the way, Iberia forgot to include the fuel surcharge

I don't think it was a mistake because it's been bookable since Friday and they have sold a TON of seats. My friends have personally accounted for 10 of them.

If CO matches, it'll be tomorrow morning hopefully. I posted on CO's Facebook wall asking them to please match and it was promptly taken down

AA recently had a $180 RT DCA-SFO, but CO never matched.

No way CO will match.

As noted all over the Mileage Run boards, this is 100% a mistake fare on the part of IB, and they have a long history of leaving up mistakes up for days on end. You can't fly on many domestic fares for $319, much less to London with it's astronomical government taxes and YQ charges.

The only way ANY airline "matches" this is through a mistake fare.

I did fly to London on CO last year at this time for $300 AI (the non-stop). That being said, the fare is gone so it doesn't really matter now

Just like clockwork, the IB folks showed up to work this morning, and the fares promptly disappeared about 2 A.M. CST.

Apparently not before a LOT of people claimed hundreds of seats, though.

Numerous posts elsewhere indicate that some FTers managed to snag upwards of 5-10 rt's at the $320ish price. One person reported buying 14 of them!!
