Flight irregularity ...
I was booked on an 11:30am flight from EWR down to PBI tomorrow morning Tuesday Feb 1. I received an email note from CO at 3:45 this afternoon informing me that the flight had been canceled and that I should contact Continental.
The telephone system was overloaded. When I then went to the website to check up on my reservation, the message appeared that the flight has been canceled due to flight irregularity.
What does "flight irregularity" mean? Is it the new way of referring to storms and wx conditions? Could it refer to an mx problem with the aircraft?

I'm sure it is related to the storm - the incoming flight was cancelled etc. etc.

Back on t
pic since many here would rather just whine than offer advice:
If you view your reservation online has it been rebooked already? If you go to online checkin are you taken to a screen that lets you search for new flights in the next 2 days?
If this doesn't work, if you keep trying to call you will get through. Alternatively you can try the callback option on the website which several people here have reported success with. Finally, if you're close to EWR then you could go there and have an agent rebook you -this is a last resort though and shouldn't be necessary.
If you're planning to cancel the flight you can wait a day or two until the phone lines are quieter - you'll have no issue cancelling it then.

Irregular operations at EWR for C
