Upgrades - Star Gold
Hi everyone. Star Alliance Gold here and wondering about upgrades on CO. Can you buy a domestic upgrade on the day of departure? I'm on a IAH-SFO next week and the upgrade is 900$...will it be cheaper the day off?

The only way it will be cheaper is if there are no pending elites for upgrades and the seat would otherwise be empty. In that situation CO sells the upgrades at a discount. I would not bet on that happening on the IAH-SFO route.

And not relevant being star gold in this case, unless you are UA member.
I agree selling discounted seats is unlikely, since the upgrade is very hard on this route even for platinums in CO.
