an amusing captain commentary
Sitting on 1100 now on an ATC hold at EWR. Its a mess tonight
Our Capt has now told us the history of the 737-500 and that at any given moment there are 1500 in the air
He has also explained ATC delays and told us 3 times its not COs fault
He said we can use our phones and if we're uase the lav to be sure to wash our handas
Can't wait for more info when we get off the ATC hold
Oh almost forgot Jimmy is in the left seat tonight
Gotta go were off

Also, I seriously doubt there are 1500 735s up there. I thought they only made about ~400.

very unprofessional and disturbing to passengers trying to read, sleep, etc.

Of course the ATC hold isn't CO's fault. Just like the hour wait at EWR to take off isn't CO's fault....even though 80% or more of the planes in queue are CO's.
All I can say is I'm thrilled not to have to fly into EWR anymore.

Totally CO's fault. I highly doubt the airline's claim that very most passengers want a flight that leaves from 7-10am or 5-9 pm. If CO fixed that silly error, odds are you wouldn't see any other airline rush in with capacity during those time periods. That would fix most of EWR's problems...

It is a very long story that has absolutely nothing to do with this thread.
I could care less what the captain says. I can't understand them 95% of the time anyway. I'm usually asleep during am flights, and only the seatbelt dings wake me up. I do wish that once a pilot woud go "giggidy" during their speech. I'd probably chuckle a bit.
