question about overbooking?

hi

im an hour from boarding CO88 PEK-EWR

noticed for the last hour or two that economy was "FULL" and there were 2 names that were simultainiously on the flight stand-by list and on the upgrade stand-by list

does this mean they were moved to biz-first cause of overboking in eco? or something else?

as of now the 2 names cleard the ug list

i asked at check in if there was a chance of overbooking and was told NO

They might have been waitlisted for BF, Non-Rev's or plats who received an op-up.

Enjoy Economy.

If they are on both lists odds are they are non-revs.

Funny how they can't do this for Elite customers (you have to clear to Y first), but the minute a non-rev wants to standby for F, it's no problem.

It's no problem because NRSAs clear at Boarding Time after all Elites & Revenue Standbys have been processed for the flight, so I don't see the issue.
