My first EUA!

Just wanted to let everyone know that my very first EUA has cleared for my flight from HNL to LAX! Hopefully during online check-in I will be able to buy 2556 EQMs because I'm 1443 miles short of Platinum.

Yay Continental!

Rah Rah!

Congrats OP! But your first EUA and you have over 60,000 EQM this year? Wow, I'm still short of Gold for next year, but as a plat I have received at least 10 EUA's this year.

Is most of your flying in BF markets or heavy elite routes? I think that if my EUA chances were so dismal I would consider another FF program. I guess I am getting spoiled flying out of SJO.

I'm flying 100,000 this year on CO/UA/*A and most of my travels were international long haul so my paltry 16/17 might be low but I am getting upgraded on every flight except for Express/Connection/and that one IAH-DCA =(

This is one of the reasons I switched to DL last year. I've only missed one upgrade so far on DL. Upgrades are far more frequent for me on DL than they were on CO.

Yups, I mostly fly HNL-EWR or HNL-IAH which are both Business First and don't have EUA, so this is really my first opportunity to be EUAed. I'm 1/1 = 100% for the year ^

Also, I was able to buy 2556 EQMs for $236, which is a really high cpm but I don't mind because otherwise I would have had to MR from HNL-LAX which currently have base fares of $382 (not to mention the hotel, car, meals, etc.), so I'm really happy

p.s. Is there really mushroom soup in First Class?
