Upgrade Question
Several months ago, I purchased RT from EWR-LAS. At booking, I opted for upgrade to F both ways paid for with miles. At booking, I was told that both upgrades cleared. My flight leaves tomorrow, and I noticed that my name is on the upgrade list as being cleared. Is this due to the mile purchase, or did I get upgraded due to my elite status?

All upgrades - regardless of how you did it - show on the list.

Once you try to use miles, that takes you out of the running for the free elite upgrade.
However, it usually puts you at the front of the line on the waitlist.
