EWR-YUL security question

(Longtime lurker. An urgent logisitical question finally got me to post. Hi!)

CO 3058 operates EWR-YUL and leaves out of EWR Terminal A, which is not the main international terminal. We were allowed to check-in completely online and print boarding passes. We are not checking bags. Am I correct that we can go straight to the normal security line in Terminal A and then proceed to the gatei.e., we will not need to check-in at Continental ticketing, or Terminal B, or submit to some separate security or customs line?

Thanks!

Welcome to FlyerTalk!

Even if you were checking bags you'd still want to go to Terminal A.

Have a great flight!

When you get to the gate area, check in at the counter anyway so they can check your passport and mark your boarding pass. This can save you some time while boarding (you'll still have to show your passport when you board and at Security).

So, just to be clear, I don't need to go to ticketing? I can go straight to the normal security line?

Correct. You can go straight to security unless OLCI gave you other instructions.

EWR-YUL is an international flight, so negative on the last minute shuffle - you must be at the boarding gate 30 minutes prior to departure.

As a point...3 transborder flights out of "A" lately, and none have requested this....I always ask if they would like to see it. All 3 told me that the TSA will no longer allow them to "pre-check passports or give out blue tags!"

I dont mind the passport-but i DO MIND not getting a blue gate check tag! to the TSA
