I was with a bunch of USA fans, and they still enjoyed the game! :D Stadium is pretty nice. Our seats rocked.

I enjoyed the game a lot, don't get me wrong, watching it in person was a lot better than on TV. That said the US looked terrible and Brazil really outclassed them. US soccer has a long ways to come, yet. :-:

True, but it was refreshing to see a bunch of young kids kicking a ball around before the game. Hopefully they stick to it, and the next gen of players will be even better, as it has been improving year after year.

When I am working in LA, I amuse myself by counting the Mercedes on my walk from the SLS/Sofitel to the office building where I work. I can usually get at least 40 in the 20 mins it takes me to make that walk. I walked from the Beverly Hilton once and it was a bonanza: 2 Bentleys, 3 Rolls, double digits in Jaguars and triple in Mercedes.

The camera work was, as is typical, :rolleyes:, and the announcers up and down. I like Dellacamera but Harkes is a blowhard.

The match was disappointing from a US perspective, but it wasn't our full first team either, and the starting lineup was strange (Feilhaber and Donovan should have switched positions, and Buddle as a lone striker is idiotic.)

As I said yesterday, anyone on that Brazil team would have started over all but two US players (Donovan and Howard). Our best players on the field play in the US or for mid-table teams in France and Germany; theirs play for AC Milan and Barcelona.

Any suggestions on Starwood hotels in Paris? Thinking of using our three free weekend nights there in October.
