Excellent - the in-seat power is enough to power and charge the netbook simultaneously. The Dell powerhog normally has no flexibility ...

That's what you get for flying via LAX rather than with connections in SFO to ensure lie-flat coach there.....:p
And this is icurhere2 you are talking about. Do you think that he would not have been at SFO if that possibility existed? This is a guy who has all the possibilities hammered and has played all of the scenarios in his head before taking any trip. The only detail he has missed on this 14 hour trip is the UPGRADE. |

There's not much I can do about an upgrade between LAX-SYD on a MR-worthy fare. Don't think an OpUp is very likely (although I would have a prime exit row to give up).
Have fun in SYD. As I recall, there were some very nice restaurants right by the PH. Hope you get a room with an Opera House view. I could look at that building all day. WWTBD: I need to fly from ORD/MDW to PBI or FLL next month. Do I fly AA ORD-PBI on an MD-80 or WN MDW-FLL? Price is the same, ultimate destination is 45 mins from PBI and 20 from FLL, and the MDW flight leaves at 9 am vs. 10 am for ORD. (As long as I am there by late afternoon, I'm fine.) AA status is possible but unlikely (have something like 8000 Q-points) and I'm about 10 credits from a reward on WN. |

26 hours. Ability to use promo night at Park Hyatt Sydney was deciding factor and this results in a full status tier (75k+ to 125k+), ~130,000 RDM, gold status for icurhere2 SO, dumping the SkyTeam USA AmEx with $450 fee, etc.

I know - I was already at the SkyClub directly above my gate when I first saw your post about being in JFK. Couple's weekend in PH CHI means I did get behind in teh Box.

Evening Box. Work sucks and all that jazz.

I don't mind the cold. I may complain about it, but I don't mind it. MSP is an area on our places to move - though, it's low on that list.

She also said that even sometimes when she does not need to upgrade because of overbooking in coach, if she has the seats in front and sees an especially fashionably dressed person or couple, she has the approval and the leeway to move them up. Apparently LH has concluded that will dress up the cabin. So what is the lesson that the average FTer who always travels in jeans and sneakers can take away from this? You tell me. |

MSP is a rare chunk of culture in the vastness of the plains states. Rather nice place if you get in the right areas.
Oh and I'll jump in on the work sucks bandwagon. My backfill for my old job asks me the same questions three times a day and it's not that difficult of stuff to understand. And instead of trying to figure stuff out, he comes to me for every single little thing. All while I'm trying to learn me new role. |
