Baggage / check-in policy at SFO? (How many hours before?)
Tried to find this on CO's website, couldn't, and their phone won't let me through to a person right now:
Does anyone know what the earliest is before a flight I can check in luggage at SFO on CO? I have an interview much earlier in the day, and it looks like I'm going to be required to fly out on a 11PM red-eye. I'm hoping I can check my bags maybe around 5PM and then go out for a bit; is this possible?

The rule is generally 4 hours IIRC.

I once ended up checking in at SFO @ 2pm for an 11pm flight. Long story - had changed from redeye to early afternoon flight in anticipation of weather in EWR canceling the redeye...only to have the early afternoon flight cancelled due to anticipated weather in EWR; I'd already scuttled my plans for the day, checked out of my hotel and was halfway to SFO when the cancellation came through. Had no problem checking my bag.

No problem. Since we are a small station we will take your bag early. The rule is usually 4 hours prior to flight time.
