CO 702 delay question
Hi.
Have elderly mother-in-law on this flight connecting to NZ7....looks like flight is seriously delayed and she may only have 40mins or so in SFO. Any ideas about if this is possible (too many years not flying in or out of SFO!!)
Also, does any CO lurker out there have any idea as to the reason for delay? Just worried because the next SFO-AKL is a day later....
Thanks...

This is gonna be tough.
You can do this without going outside security, but it will take a while. There's a bus between the CO pier and the UA pier, then she'd have to walk to the int'l terminal. The bus runs only a few times an hour and drops you off in a suboptimal place, so you still have a walk once you get off the bus.
Another option is to exit security, take the AirTrain to the Int'l Terminal G Stop, and reclear security there.
Finally, she could exit security, walk left to the Int'l Terminal, walk across the Int'l Terminal to the G side, and reclear security there. This may be her fastest option if she's able-bodied. If it were me, this is what I'd try.

Good luck!

Thanks for that.....unfortunately, she requires wheel chair assistance and she is now scheduled to land 5 minutes before her connecting flight.....looks like I need to make a hotel res for her......

I wouldn't make a hotel res yet.
See if CO will cover it since she's an int'l connecting passenger. Also, we don't know the reason for the delay.
Also, even if CO won't cover it, they'll give her the form, so you can get the discounted rate.
