First Time at IAH!
Somehow, some way, after more than 600k EQMs on CO, I will transit through IAH for the first time tomorrow. Not sure whether to
or
.
Taking CO107 from EWR on my way to GIG, with a 2:22 layover. Plan on having dinner there - any recommendations? Also, I imagine there is more than one PC. Which one should I visit? Be on the lookout for my FT luggage tags - maybe this is the day I get spotted!
As I am typing this, I am wondering if there are any other long-time OP members that haven't been through Houston?

Gotta be Pappadeaux E4. Either was enjoy your first IAH transit. Xfers there are rarely difficult except in the hurricane season.

I fly out of/into IAH almost every week but never eat at the airport. So is there anything special at Pappadeauxs in terminal E that one might not find at local Pappadeauxs around Houston? I have eaten at various Pappadeauxs in town and enjoyed their food. Especially like those fried alligators- taste like chicken

Although I haven't eaten at the airport location, I did take a look at their menu, and they were advertising a $13 (if I recall correctly) lunch buffet that included cold-boiled shrimp, crawfish etoufee and a bunch of other stuff. Like 15-20 good looking items. I don't think any of the normal Pappadeauxs offer a lunch buffet.

Now when I think about it...I need to book a lunchtime connection through IAH =)

If you want another choice (although Pappadeaux's is great), I have enjoyed Le Grand Comptoir in terminal C.
The Real Food Company in terminal C isn't bad either.
When I think about it, IAH is actually pretty good for eatin'.

E PClub is where you'll want to be. The staff is friendly and the bartenders are top notch. If it's Damien or Tripp, then you're in good hands. They're fun to be around if you sit around the bar. I like their margaritas. Bloody Mary's are pretty popular. Actually any cocktail is fine.
Since I live relatively close (by Houston standards) to the airport, I sometimes come to the E PC to hang out.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. ^ I haven't been this excited about a layover in a long time.

But dude, let's get you playing golf or find some hobbies so that you aren't hanging out at the airport!
