Correct. It is like your typical US carrier domestic F-class.

BTW here is a trip report I wrote on a SCL trip I did on Copa last year:

And it is.

The meal service is somewhat a step above a typical domestic F - multiple selections and multiple courses - but the seat is a regular F domestic seat and it is still airline food.

In the not-so-distant future, COPA might be one of the last remaining vestiges of Continental... I highly doubt they'll adopt a modified version of United's livery given the absence of any current CO stakehold!

I really like Copa's livery, even a little more then CO's.

It's pretty much a mirror image of Continental's domestic F which isn't bad considering it's only about a 7 hour flight.

The seats are the same. The service is nicer in most cases.

How does one find out when/if you get an EUA on Copa? Is there an email? Do I need to call? Or is it just at the airport? My flight is Thursday and I have not hear anything yet :: crossing fingers ::

Where did you book the flight? If on Orbitz you'll get a schedule change email with the upgraded flight showing Biz. I also think that you can now view all CM reservations on their website, not just ones initially booked there. Or you can call.

They do not send emails like CO does.

Booked the flight directly with copaair.com. 2500 bonus miles! :-: I viewed the itinerary online and it still shows me in Y.

So I guess I just need to keep checking periodically and hope?

Thanks sbm12, you should charge for your never ending knowledge in all things CO and CM related

Are you referring to Orbitz or Copa? If the latter, how recent is this?

This was not the case two weeks ago for a UA+CM ticket purchased via Orbitz for Mrs. ralfp. Initially I could see the ticket on UA.com, but not CM.com After calling the OPSC to upgrade the CM part of the return, VVI-PTY(stopover)-MIA, I could see the reservation on CO.com, but still not on Copa's site.

The upgrade was visible on CO's web site; Orbitz still showed all segments as economy.

It would be nice if CO or CM would allow one to purchase tickets for both carriers. If CO.com could do this, Mrs. ralfp would have taken CO instead of UA+CM to PTY.

It seems rare for advance EUA's for flights out of Panama as they zero it out at the airport and you have to go to the gate to get the upgrade, usually at the t-30 minute point after they have been boarding for several minutes. You have to ask for it as they don't seem too motivated to deal with the gate upgrades. Flights to Panama can freak you out on Copa's site if you get and automatic upgrade by showing you suddenly having an unassigned seat but then you look at your class of service and it says Business Class. OLCI allows you to select your seat.
