Advice needed!! multiple destination
I'm now studying in Indiana, USA. I would like to go back to Hong Kong after the spring semester in May, but I have to visit Stockholm, Sweden for a conference in July. After that probably I will go back to the States.
What would be the most inexpensive way to go for my trip?
It seems that IND --> HKG --> Stockholm --> IND is the "smoothest" way but i don't know how much would it be and how to book a trip like this...

CO.com may not be able to price this out (maybe it will, I did not try).

There'sa time to call
Avoid Orbitz and other third party sites for booking - OK to use them for flight search but you are better booking directly with the airline. Do you want to fly Continental as much as possible? If so you may need to call CO to book as it doesn't seem to work on co.com (probably because SAS schedules are not loaded).
Try using the ita matrix software and looking for multisegment itinerary with the dates you need. - I just plugged in some random May/July dates and got an all *A (AC and SAS) itinerary for just over $2K, though none of the legs are on CO. This is not a booking site but will give you all the information you need to book with the airlineor your TA.

Also consider a RTW ticket. You'd need to add a third stop in somewhere along the way but it might be less expensive to do that than to buy flights piecemeal along the way.

Thanks for the replies!
May I ask what is RTW and how does it work?

It is shorthand for an Around the world ticket. You have to make three stops and I believe there is a 10 day minimum for the trip.
Lots more useful information, including an online booking engine, online here. You do need to be careful about carriers and booking classes if you're concerned with mileage credit but that isn't much different than any other ticket you'd buy.

Letters, we got letters
RTW = Round The World, you can research it on the *A site. I just tried and it priced out about 50% higher than what I found on ita. And it looks like you would need to add a fourth destination somewhere along the line to qualify for RTW.

Yes I tried both, ITA ~2000USD, and RTW ~ 3700USD...
But how can I confirm the itinerary generated by the ITA?

After you get the Itinerary and price, you'll notice a link in the upper left hand corner saying "show booking details." Click on that and you'll see (at the bottom - you may have to scroll down) the booking details in exquisite detail. With the details, any ticket agency or appropriate airline can construct the trip.
