EWR-SNA switchable?

I have tix to sna from ewr. Upgrades as gold very tight. can i request stand by ewr-lax at airort and hope for upgrade with larger aircraft 757 vs 737

No Under normal circumstances they do not allow any standby other then the airport you are ticketed from. Only if your flight is delayed or cancelled due to a weather or some other issue then you can standby or even be rebooked from another close by airport but you have to get your own transportation.
