Stopover Rules, part deux

Hi all. About to book my first Star int'l reservation with CO. Is this legal?

CHOICE A
JFK-LAX <stopover>
LAX-ICN-HAN <destination>
HAN-SIN-ICN-JFK

I'm worried that the trip home via SIN & ICN is backtracking. So if not that, how about this:

CHOICE B
JFK-LAX <stopover>
LAX-ICN-HAN <destination / open jaw>
BKK-ICN-JFK

Would this help?

CHOICE C
LAX-ICN-HAN <destination / open jaw>
BKK-ICN-JFK <return to different city>

Thanks, all!
David

All of those routings are valid.

Sorry to hijack this thread but would a stopover be allowed in both directions on a *Alliance Reward ticket?

Not using CO miles, using AC or BD miles, sure.

David, your choice C has a double open jaw, different origins on each end. You could add JFK-LAX and stopover there on the way out.

I don't think C is valid.

C -- a double open jaw -- is not valid. Continental is a bit more permissive than United on routings, so A is fine.

I think A would probably be fine with UA miles. B is the one that would for sure not be allowed with UA miles, but would be ok with CO miles.

Yeah...I missed the LAX/JFK split. Either putting a segment between those two or one between HAN and BKK would solve it.
