So, let's say I am going on an Intl flt fron EWR on a Friday night. Suggested "normal" processing time is 2.5 - 3 hrs before the flt. So accroding to their 1-7-10 update I am t oadd ONE HOUR to the normal time.
For domestic we are looking at 1.5 hours PLUS 1 hour. Any wonder why I am driving to BWI/WAS on Sunday and NOT flying.
Geez, first time I reach PLATINUM and if this crap keeps up it will probably be the only time I make Platinum. Hopefully, I'll get to Gold for 2011 but I am cutting back flying on the "shorter" trips.

There's really no need to show up for earlier domestic flights and international flights leaving the US. The additional security screenings are only for flights returning to the US.
Flying on shorter trips should be identical to how it was before Christmas.

According to CO.com
I just clicked on it and it is for Domestic departures and Intl departures from US airports. There is a whole list of departure cities and the suggested TSA time and you have to add one hour to that per the site. Unless I am reading this completely wrong this is a new development. It was not their a few hours ago when I made a booking

I have been through security at EWR three times last week and it only took me 5 minutes each time. YMMV

I went through EWR twice this week and it was no more than 5 min at security, about 30 seconds at BOS and 10 min at BWI.

I'm pretty sure the "add 1 hour" info has been up since the NW incident.

Can anyone share their experience with TSA @ LAX T6 this week?
(I have yet to fly this year...)

CO is lucky if I print my boarding pass before the 30 min. cutoff most of the time. I have a life to live, and as much as I like airports, I don't hang out there before flights anymore than I have to.

Geezus have you been showing up for your flights 3 hours before departure this whole time?
