Possible Route?

Is this trip possible using a reward tix?

IAH-SCL-LIM-IAH

I am having trouble with the SCL-LIM part on Copa. Onepass says it is a circle trip and cannot be booked.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

That should be possible with LIM as a stopover destination. Have you found seats and they just can't book it or can you not find the seats/inventory?

I recently got similar static on a CO/Star award ticket to Europe where TXL is the final destination and I wanted to make AMS a stopover. The supe relented once she realized that a) I booked a nearly identical ticket the day before; and b) she couldn't explain to me why making AMS a stopover point is improper (I had specifically asked what cities would be an acceptable stopover point then, and got silence).

NO not that. The agent said it is not allowed under award rules.

She said I could open jaw SCL to LIM back the the U.S.

But that the award was not a legal booking.

I want IAH>SCL stop in SCL for 5 days.
Then go from SCL>LIM stop in LIM for 5 days and return to IAH.

Is this possible or is this not allowed?

Thanks for the insight.

I cannot see any reason why that routing would not be permitted. If you can find the inventory you need I'd feed them the flights and see what comes back.

wouldnt this require?
IAH-PTY-SCL
SCL-PTY-LIM <- I assume this is the problem, as LIM is nowhere near a direct routing
LIM-IAH

This should be no problem if anyone flew SCL-LIM, but I see how a connection in PTY would make this illegal

I am not sure about going through PTY, but it looked like there were flights between SCL>LIM on Copa from their website.

So the question is, would the rules allow a reward tix from IAH>SCL (5 days stopover)>LIM (on Copa) (5 day stop over) > IAH.

Or perhaps in reverse > IAH>LIM>SCL>IAH
