Believe me, we FA's love them just as much as PAX (especially when we are PAX). They make our job easier and our service more efficient. I wish all 800's had them but they don't make as much money as the version without. Easy decision to make.

Kind of stretch comparing the long battle of attrition that resulted in removal of amenities to a one time event that, in a single day, body slammed the entire airline industry and many other industries for years to come. 911 resulted in a bit more of a scramble to stop hemorrhaging.
