Return Reward Flight
Between December 26th and January 4th, I am planning a trip to Europe using miles. I am finding plenty of flights over there for 27,500 miles...but coming back is proving difficult, I am not finding anything on January 4th under 50,000 miles. Does anyone know the best ways to search?
I am open to where I travel and fly back from, I am just trying to get back for 27,500 miles too.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I sucked it up and spent the 50K on a return flight (Brasil - USA) after Christmas... It had to be on the 28th (work commitments, I can't stay for Reveillon), which is a week before your trip on the 4th of Jan. Keep in mind it is a Monday after a long major holiday weekend (like my return flight)... High demand, I imagine... good luck, though...

Doesn't matter. I am trying to get to either southeast Europe (Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, or Greece)...or Spain/Portugal. I am even trying open-jaw travel.
I may give in and call Continental on Friday to see if they have any options. I know there must be one flight out there still...

Did you try every major airport in all of those countries?
Just find the major airports by passenger volume in Wikipedia and search on Continental.com.
You may try to look up other countries in Europe that are near (and accessible) to your target countries. Like Italy, France, Germany, etc...
I guess it will be like trial and error...

call CO and speak to an agent. co.com doesnt check every partner. the agents can.
there are plpenty of *A airlines that can get you there. you've got to get creative and may have to make multiple connections.
it would help if you familiarized yourself with all the *A carriers, where they fly and what hubs they have. that way you can make suggestions to an agent who may not be very creative.
