MSY construction affects gate assignments

From www.flymsy.com

Effective Nov. 1, Armstrong International is doing major construction, which has resulted in some CO flights departing from Concourse C. Most flights will continue to depart Concourse D, but the current plan is to operate all flights to CLE and the morning departures to EWR out of Concourse C. Please check your gate assignments prior to entering the security checkpoint to avoid going to the wrong concourse.
This also means no lounge availability for those affected since the SC is in D.

There is no indication of an ending date. It appears that gate D5 is not in service now.

There is also a scheduled bid due next week for an expansion project to add 6 jetways to Concourse D, which will increase the gate count from 7 to 13. With DL having moved all NW flights from C to D and B6 having moved from D to C.

UA has 2 gates in Concourse C and US has 4 gates in Concourse A.

I noticed the construction at the end of D this weekend. They've just started, but the ramp out there is being removed and it definitely looks like they are going to lengthen that concourse.
