Can I Make This Change?
Tomorrow, I'm finishing one round trip flying from Hartford to IAH via EWR. Later in the afternoon, I'm starting a second round trip IAH to ATL. The trips are on cheap tickets purchased on separate dates (different confirmation numbers).
When I get to EWR tomorrow, is there any chance that CO would let me fly direct EWR to ATL? I know that I can do anything for enough $$. By "let me", I mean for free or for the standard same-day change fee plus not cancel my ATL to IAH return.
Thanks for any feedback.

Probably not. You can always ask though, can't hurt. If there is some kind of delay (especially mechanical) they might let you. Other than that, chances are between slim and none. I'd start asking at BDL and not wait for EWR (see the recent thread on EWR attitude).

I wouldn't get your hopes up unless there is weather or irrops.
My wife did accomplish something similar @ EWR, but it was a fluke.
You'd also not earn miles for the segments not flown.
