777-200 EWR-HKG power ports?
Is there anyone out there who has flown the EWR-HKG route recently and can advise if they are still using the old 777-200 planes, or the new ones? The new planes have AVOD and regular 110V power ports in every seat in economy. (whereas the old planes have the 15V DC ports i believe)
I'm going to be taking my netbook with me and just wondering if i need to buy a special adapter. Thanks.

All 772s have been converted so you will have 110v power and AVOD nose to tail.

However if you are sitting in coach there are only 2 ports for every 3 seats.

The power ports are barely ever used so you won't have a problem. I usually just charge my goods the entire flight.

Is there a USB port as well? To say, charge an Ipod via a USB port?

USB jacks
- USB jack
- 110v AC power
- iPod jack (similar to United - special cable available on the Duty Free cart, allows for iPod / iPhone charging and personal audio/video playback on the 15.4" display)

Here's the prototype BF seats shown at DO IV in February:
BTW, if you sit in 44A/B or 44K/L, that's one power port for 2 passengers, instead of 2 ports for 3.
