Greetings! I will be taking a domestic flight and purchased a first class ticket. Can someone who flew recently (or is a flight attendant) on CO and in first class tell me what I can expect besides a bigger seat? Also, do they do anything special for kids? Thanks

Welcome to FT, Beaverhausen!
As noted upthread, on-board service will depend on the time of day and route. A midcon redeye will have pre-departure drinks and not much else. A daytime transcon will have full meal service replete with paper menus.
Also, two days prior to the flight you will be able to view the aircraft type on co.com/info. If the flight is on a 737-900ER, you will have complimentary DirecTV at your seat. If on a 777-200 or 757-200 you will have AVOD.

My favorite is the potato truffle soup... Which I believe is on the menu this month! So if you have a cattering mistake and there is none available... I might be on your flight (dipping the shrimp I "stole" off the salads
).

It should happen if a meal was served on your flight. If there is no meal, there is no hot towel service. On rare occassion I've had flights with meals where the towel service wasn't done; sometimes due to catering error (towels weren't loaded), and a couple of times the towels were there and the flight attendant just never did the service (I saw the tray of towels in the galley).

Then again, stranger things have happened... I was the kid who always managed to pick out the broken toy at the store and had to get it replaced.
