help a noob...
Hello everyone,
Please excuse the noobish question, but I have searching on these threads and on Continental's site, but can't seen to find the answers I am looking for. Here is my situation...
I just opened a checking account with Chase, and I got the promotion which gives me 25,000 bonus One Pass miles for opening the account. This is my first flyer program, so I am new to this. I am looking to take my wife to Europe next summer (summer of 2010 - flexible on dates) for our 10th anniversary. I live in Florida, and I would like to ultimately go to Malta, the country I am from. I know there are no direct flights to Malta, so, I'd like to fly direct from Florida (preferably Orlando, but willing to go from any airport in Florida) to any city in Europe. I can then hop on a short flight to Malta. My objective is to take as little flights as possible to get to Malta. I am also very interested in visiting Venice, and I know Ryanair has direct flights from Venice to Malta (which I can book separately), so I would prefer to fly somewhere within a train ride to Venice (Rome perhaps, or Zurich).
So basically my question is, are there any direct flights from Florida to Europe in which I can redeem my One Pass miles? I found Virgin Airlines fly's direct to London, but would prefer a more Southern European city.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated...

There is an Iberia flight from MIA-MAD but that won't help you with CO miles. You're also going to need a lot more than the 25K miles that you got from the checking account to get a reward to Europe from the USA - at least 55K total.

Thanks stevenshev. can I redeem one pass points for those flights?
Thanks sbm12, I understand that I will need at least 50,000. I am probably going to book this closer to the trip, so that by the time I book it, I am hoping to have enought for at least 1 rount trip paid for. I am just in the planning stages (getting ideas).

Welcome to FT, vwagen01!
If you redeem after 27 Oct, it will be 55,000 miles for a SaverPass redemption in Economy.
