Chicago Dinner Do - Saturday June 27

I know this is a bit far off but seeing as Mrs Sweet Willie will be out of town at a conference, I know I'll have this night free.

Who's up for a FT Dinner on Saturday June 27 ?

Place and Time is TBD.

It has been awhile since we had an "upscale" dinner but I'm up for most any cuisine.

Suggestions welcome !!!@:-)@:-)

Probably not what you would consider "upscale", but if you pick Smoque BBQ (http://www.smoquebbq.com/) I would consider making the trip down.

Great food, but not really a good location for a group.

Unless of course we do their catering and have a picnic somewhere fun?

I like Smoque, FYI reviewed here in the Chicago BBQ Thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chica...q-chicago.html
Would agree with ScottC’s comments below:

I was thinking a mid afternoon picnic would be fun as well, anyone else up for the picnic idea?

actually, I've been meaning to try Nigerian Kitchen on Wilson.. but that might be too "ethnic" for some.

Is "ethnic" == "exotic" in your vocab?

Personally, I'd be fine with anything (except most seafood, regardless of the cultural lineage of its preparation).

some of the reviews post that an ATM is on premises, I think the real adventurous person is not the one who dines on the food but the one who uses the ATM at a Nigerian restaurant.

certainly a possibility^

Just had a Korean Dinner Do but would love to schedule another for later in the year. Indian/Pakistani food is most welcome, then perhaps an after dinner trip to one of the Indian sweets shops for dessert?

Sadly, looks like I won't be able to make it due to the Delta DO in Atlanta that weekend.
