JFK-FCO

Hello all,
I am flying on a transatlantic flight in July from New York City (JFK) to Rome (FCO). I am flying Delta and it is an Airbus A330. I am looking for all the information you all know about this flight:
-How is the turbulence?
-How is this plane during turbulence?
-Are transatlantic flights bumpy? (First transatlantic flight)
-Any additional information would be great.

Thank you all so much for your help!

-Rick

Welcome to FT

Welcome to FlyerTalk jetbluelover.

It looks like you've posted your questions on the wrong forum.

I suggest you try posting it on the Delta forum. This forum is for FTers who are meeting together in various spots around the globe for fun and games of various sorts.

Cheers.

When you have any forum front page in front of you, down at the very bottom of the page is a drop down menu, "Forum Jump". Click on that menu and look for Delta under the Airline Programs list. Click on the link and you're there.

Actually, it needs to go to TravelBuzz, and I've already asked a Mod to move it there for you.

That having been said, the A330 is a lovely plane.

Turbulence depends very much on the season and the weather on a given night. That said, it's not nearly as bad over the Atlantic as it can be over the South Pacific - usually. But on this route, during the summer, the turbulence should be no better or worse than on a domestic flight.

If you've only been on domestic flights, the 330 is likely much larger than anything you've been in before, and the larger the plane, the less perceptable the turbulence. If you're worried about it, sit as near the front as possible, preferably in business class .

Actually, this is also cross-posted in the Delta Lounge™ thread and is being answered there so we'll close this one.
