you don't actually think I'm going to let my name go under the header "cow" do you?

So you'll have to put me down as "interested"

Right...but the goal was to push you UP to the Bull category, not down!

Count me as a very interested, it all depends on my work schedule, plus i'd be fun to use my free Alaska Airlines ticket to actually fly to Alaska.

Depending on what type of free ticket you have... - do a flight to somewhere remote... and then 'stopover' in ANC on the way back

If its remote enough (like ADK) heck- some FT'ers might even join you (its 15K for an intra-state award )

Actually, there was talk of doing something like that (BRW, ADK, OME, etc.).

Anyone want to think about tagging on a flight to somewhere like this? Might be your only chance to do ever get to one of these places!

OME actually is a destination for 1 month a year... I move to veto OME...

ADK is kinda cool IMHO... since its an EAS route... I think AS gets 1.5 million or so to operate this annually... and one probably would get food too... the only issue is once you get there- stay for 2-3 days (pitch a tent ) or fly back on the same bird so you don't get stranded... due to weather...

The Where Doodle has been updated to allow people to vote on activities they are interested in. Feel free to utilize that method to give input in the scheduling!

There should be an "edit this Doodle" link at the bottom of the page. You can actually edit anyone's submissions (it's open content, kinda like Wikipedia).

I thought you said ADK wasn't a good option because of weather and the fact that you have to either do an immediate turn (NO!) or stay for 2-3 days. Besides, I've never been to ADQ, and it's a nice, relatively cheap place to get to. Besides, I know someone who may be able to get us a great deal on a flightseeing trip around the island or over to nearby places (Katmai NP, perhaps?)

I just updated posts 4 and 5 with some information that might prove helpful to DO participants.

This is seriously temping. Let me research flights etc - if I can be there, I will be. Would be good to meet up again and see more of your great state (and Bob W's wines!). I'll bring the whisky.
