Well, now that the Brooklyn Reality Tour date has been set... there's a pre event that can also be announced:

Soup Do 6!!!

Date: Friday, June 12 (the eve of BRT)
French Roast (the downtown/West Village location)
IT's at the corner of 11th Street and Sixth Avenue

Reservation is still at 8pm under Mark Blanchard (although the guy probably wrote "CATMAN"

We cannot go to La Bonne Soupe this year because they are STILL not ready to reopen after a a fire in April :( NEXT YEAR we'll be back (or sooner if a Flyertalker would like a specail Soup DO in his or her honor. :)



French Roast's prices are a little more than LaBonne's but not by much. And YES they have French Onion Soupe.

Looking forward to this great event and I hope you like this alternative.

As just posted in the Brooklyn reality tour thread, I hope to to be able to make it down to NYC this time in time for soup. Would be great to see brother Catman & friends again. Please consider me a maybe for now.

I'm going to make the reservation next Saturday when we have the soup meeting for sxg's visit to NYC.

Lili... sorry you can't make it. I do the same thing with calendars but luckily I have nto missed Cat sittings because of it (twice in almost six years I showed up a day EARLY. Kind of embarassing! ;) )

I will make a reservation for a party of 20 when I go to szg's Soup event on Saturday. Hopefully we'll get the "secret" private room. :) If there's overflow last last year there's the upper deck table.

Remember, this is open to FT friends who are going to BRT as well as people who just want to have a fun evening!

OK... we have reservation for a party of 20 under my "real" name Blanchard.

I'm being optimistic on turnout but last year we had overflow. The manager says he's happy to help us anyway he can.

Also, IF we get the secret room you'll see a few changes. Same great food and service but a new look.

I"m looking forward to another fun evening with SOup and FT Friends!
