Bring the salad. The coleslaw will also be served to the family tomorrow.

Greg, bring something you would like. We are not a picky bunch.

Sounds like someone needs a FT handle

Snacks sounds good ^ Pizzas & Mac N Cheese should take about an hour...at 375.

Yes, but not all of us want to make the trek all the way out to Eagle River.

Besides, pizza was a side dish last night. A completely different format of pizza will be the main dish tonight. But if you have an alternate suggestion in the Anchorage metropolitan area, we can definitely entertain other ideas...

Bumping the thread. I'm in town all day Sunday. My only plans so far is to get a coat as 6th avenue outfitters. I was going to sign up for the Flat Top hike but seems a little cold to go any higher in elevation than necessary. I'll be staying at my go to spot Inlet Tower. I don't drive so renting a car is out.

They're ridiculously cheap this time of year. I got a car for $6/day ($12ai with tax) when I was there last week.

Time to rectify the "I don't drive" part of your sentence?

You must have gotten the "Former Employee" rate. MD was charged $30 plus plus for an overnight Corolla rental last weekend. It was last minute but still.......ended up closer to $60

Actually, I booked a reservation from the Board Room for $7/day and then went downstairs to pick the car up.

Rates do fluctuate a bit this time of year, but they are sub-$20 more often than they are over $20. You want to be looking at Enterprise/Dollar/Thrifty/Alamo, though, for those low rates--the other companies have sticks up their butts about going below $30/day.

Don't as in I never learned. Never needed to. Always lived in the big city.

I've driven through Woostah. It's not exactly "the big city." And you certainly travel enough to destinations that aren't "the big city." It's a skill that's not hard to learn and is immensely useful. I know tons of people who live in Manhattan who don't own cars--but they all know how to drive. It frees you up from being at the mercy of often less-than-adequate public transportation or expensive taxis in many destinations.
