That's a place where the beer is really very good. I am not surprised that rcs85551 and connex2me were ready for an instant replay of the dinner that they took us to just this Monday. I would also have been ready if I were still around MUC.

Guten tag. I will be in M:unchen 11/8-9, 11/28-30, and 12/6-7. Meeting a local friend and going to a goth club, but if there's a gathering that fits my schedule, that'd be cool. Had a blast last night at the S.F. Folsom DO.

Each Thursday they have their "Kleinkunst"-Programme in the Airbräu, with sometimes really good bands. (!!)
From my experience (as a frequent visitor), in the back of the retaurant (where the exit to the "Biergarten" is located) it is not too loud. But of course, another day is better as it becomes really crowded on Thursday during fall and winter.

Hofbräu is nice and surely much more quiet. I never saw it completely full which seems to be quite normal at the Airbräu. Sure that also depends on the location in the upper floor.
Do you know the little Airbräu in the non-Schengen-part of T2? Quite nice if you want to have a "real" beer before starting a flight to the US....!

If you might want to meet for a brunch at the airport, you could try the "Il Mondo". It has a nice view on the apron from some tables.
But I have to confess that I have not been there for some time, so I can not talk about the quality of the food now. It used to be good at least some years ago.

Personally, I prefer the atmosphere at the Airbräu (when there's no band playing, of course
) over the Hofbräu.
Also, at the Hofbräu we were almost kicked out at around 9.30pm (coffee machine cleaned already), whereas our previous meetings at the Airbräu often lasted until midnight (and even then, there were other folks still around as they are open till 1am each night).
