Encounters - LAX

We're relocating from LAX to MEL. Since we're staying near the airport on the night of Sunday Mar 9, we though we would have lunch at Encounters (because we never have).

It's myself, mrs alect and mini-alect. If anyone would like to join us, drop me an email.

I didn't think it was open after the structural damage was found, but it appears the Encounter Restaurant has reopened ^ Sorry won't be able to make it for lunch that day.

to the op-are you staying at one of the airport hotels (i.e. hilton etc)? if you are, take their shuttle to t-2 and cross the roadway at the crosswalk-do not (repeat, do not) try and look for the footbridge over pass) and then follow the signs to encounter. trust lucky 'n me on this one

To the OP: You might want to have a mod put the date in your thread title. Sorry I can't make it. Have fun!

Cheers.

I have a MR thru LAX, will be getting in around 12:35 but have to clear customs and such, so it might be an hour before I could get there. I was planning on going that day for lunch or dinner as I have about 9 hrs to kill!

Well we don't yet have a definite time - though the pregnant mrs alect and min-alect tend to get hungry around 12-12.30.

I will PM you my cell and you can text me to see if we're still there or ever made it......

I cannot belie Encounters is not on idine.

got me thinking....is it t2- or t1? (see leave it to a ua person to not know "the other side of lax") just double check with the shuttle driver as to which terminal and you'll be fine but do not (repeat, do not) cross against the light...way too much traffic
