Just bumping this up to the top.

I'm in.....I've been craving MCI BBQ since last May!:D

Looking forward to this one! Craving some "real" BBQ...

Promise not to move cities this year.

I'll be there. Will be driving this time.

I should be around that weekend... Sounds like fun!

SeeYa Feb 26, 2008 11:43 am

Hmmmm, please put me on the "interested" list.

We are in

Arriving on NW at 1640 5/2 and leaving 5/5. opushomes+1. Could use some local advice as to which Hilton property(ies) to book. Looking at the HGI just south of downtown or 1st night near airport. Hopefully, dinner plans are for at least 1830 or 1900 on Friday so we can get car, get to hotel, wash faces and leave a small buffer for NW tardiness or Missouri tornados.

Marsha and I are looking forward to a great weekend with a good sampling of KC BBQ. Having done a BBQ run in a nested PDX-FLL MR a few years ago, I definitely like KC BBQ.

Please count me as a maybe. It's been a while since I've been to Kansas City for a reason other than work...and this would be a nice change of pace. :)

Is there anything planned for Sunday morning? I'm trying to figure out what time I should leave. Thanks for heading this up again!

Are you bringing/sending your friends again? I think they enjoyed themselves (and thought we were crazy in general when talking about travel)

Can't join in this year - have some bbq for me.

I have updated the first post. :p

Yesterday, NW sent us an e-mail informing us that they had decided that a 1640 arrival was way too early so the new schedule for May is 1814. Based upon your first posting, it looks like we will arrive too late to attend Friday's planned event.

If this is not the case, please provide the address of the restaurant since there seem to be three KC locations. Also, a PM with a cell number would be appreciated. Lack of local knowledge.

The Jack Stack's and City Tavern are both located at 101 West 22nd Street, Kansas City, MO, 64108.

Oh, my wife and I will likely be there for this.

I'm a maybe! Not exactly sure of my other commitments yet!

For newbies to KC bbq I'd suggest brisket sandwiches at the original Arthur Bryants, and ribs at Rosedale.

Just booked my flight! I'll be at the Hilton President downtown. Is there still a lot of construction going on there?
