Question Anyone up for MUC?

It's not a great deal, but prices are going up, and it's a Sat. o/n, AND it got closed on the MR forum b/c it didn't involve anything MR-related so, I'm posting here:

Looks like UA West Coast to FRA/MUC has a divide around mid-March -- for St. Paddy's day prices go up several hundred $. As they stand now, before that isn't cheap; Fri 3/7 SFO-LHR-MUC ret. 3/9 MUC-JFK (LH) - SFO (p.s. w/ug space ) is $558 via Orbitz. That gives you an o/n in a fun city. So if you're a mega-MR 1K'er like me, given the cost of gas and the Euro, staying 1K may mean biting the bullet now. If anyone's game, LMK.

Can't wait to see this redirected. Does PM mean "pong me"?

Just checked the dates for Starkbierzeit festivities... mostly starting on 2/22 and ending on 3/8. My current plan is to book a couple of days vacation in that window... maybe Feb 25ish.

I'm down (or up!) for MUC!

I'll be arriving this Saturday, Feb 2 on UA 902 and departing on LH the following day around 2pm.

Anyone that wants to hang out with a MUC first timer, PM me and we can grab some of that delicious bier.

Good chance I'll be there for a couple of days on business around March 17, then in early-to-mid-August with CarlaJ to pick up a new car. (She's been to one FT Do, enjoyed it, probably wouldn't mind meeting FTers there.)

I was trying to convince my son to go to Munich for his spring break...and then he admits he never did get his passport. Goober.

I wouldn't mind going for a day; running through its airport last year, I thought it was quite interesting and wouldn't mind going back..for more than five minutes. Going to see what availability is like now...maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

After checking for tix.... so disappointed. I was going to pick up tix for my birthday weekend and when I clicked purchase, price went from $413 to $696 on a fare adjustment. Yikes!

I got my son's passport in September in exactly two weeks ... no expedite service. He still has lots of time to get it.

Heh...except now I'm thinking, "He'll gain much more from the experience if he has to pay all on his own !"

Moms..we're so evil that way.
