FlyerTalk: 10-year Anniversaries...[merged threads]
It's 2008 so many of us should be celebrating our 10th year anniversary as a FlyerTalker this year. I wonder how many of us are still "active" or lurking in the shadows. Say hello if you are still around

2008 = 10 years of FT and 10 million posts
May 2008 is the 10th anniversary of Flyertalk - congratulations in advance Randy. I'm still waiting (less than patiently) on an invite to your party at COS.
I noticed FT has already passed 9 million posts so I suppose the 10 million mark will be sometime this year. An amazing wealth of information and camaraderie that has been brought together. Thank you :-: Randy :-: (and now Internet Brands) for making this possible. ^^^
Perhaps, if the CommunityBuzz moderators allow, we could have a game to guess when the 10 millionth post will be posted and by whom (as we have with some other previous milestones)? I'm sure I could dig up a suitable prize or two.
I guess we also have close to 100 evangelists (members with more than 10,000 posts). Thanks for sharing so much (too much in the case of some ).

May 5, 1998. I think I posted a question or two about Hilton Honors. And someone actually answered!
And so a great and sometimes crazy and sometimes overly dramatic and sometimes rewarding adventure began.
I've dropped out of FT a few times over the years but somehow was pulled back. It's become a part of my life I guess. Sorry, not the centerpiece but it's nice to pop in and see what I can learn and what's going on.
Besides, it's tough to take time for F-T when you are running a reputedly successful (and definitely respected) Cat sitting business in NJ with over 150 clients! Work has to come first... have to pay for those mileage runs.
If anything over this past decade out of F-T I got:
*The chance to visit many new places and learn new things.
*Learned how to appreciate the fine things in life cigars, wine, steak and In and Out burgers... to name a few.
*Organized dinners, Dos, many things... something I never thought I would have done. I was afraid to be around more than three people in a room once upon a time!
*Met a LOT of people including Mr. Randy Petersen and his lovely wife, and even made some good friends along the way.
*Got a BIG BRUDDAR (who I still have today as one of my bestest friends. )
Yes, learning about maximizing miles and points and mileage runs are fun. But there are so many PRICELESS things we all got off this board if you think about it.
Ok, enough reflection now except for oen thing...
I beat KOKO in joining by about a week.
