Believe it or not, I've actually heard that. I wish I had more free time there to do some sight seeing. But if ya'll act right, I may just come back another time, when it's not so cold, and I'm not acting as Lehava's moving guru. Boy, is she gonna be in for a shock!! When I told her I was good at moving, down south that means mixing a drink, and supervising everyone else!!

Phooey is right! But, see above. If the rest of that group is on their best behavior (which, knowing 3/4 of that group, is highly doubtful,) then I'll come back sometime, and we'll give more advance notice.

But I am glad to see how the forecast is looking there for the weekend! Believe it or not, it's about 19 degrees here now. aucarol <-----not wanting to get out of this warm bed to go to work.

^ Ice fishing-----BRRRrrrr.

I appreciate everyone celebrating my birthday! My last Minneapolis birthday celebration was January 4, 1988. Sorry I won't be there, in person.

Happy (early) Birthday! You know, with me planning to come out and crash two of your upcoming LAS dinners, the least you could do is return the favor...

It's technically "Get Together #14" for those who are counting. But you can make it 13.5 or something if you prefer.

Not in my fish house. At 10' x20' with a 30,000 BTU furnace, carpet, paneling, 2 queen sized bunks, a sofa, an underwater camera that rotates via a remote wired to a monitor, a 2 burner stove, indoor bathroom, and a huge grill outside the door...you might feel right at home. I keep the temp at 70 degrees F, all the time. And yes, I do fish too.

Put me down as a yes. The overnight report from Mille Lacs was no change in the ice (booo!).

The fish jump right out of the water, through the hole, and into the sizzling frying pan, right? I'd hate for you to have to do any work for your meal...

Battering themselves in midair & reaching over to adjust the temp on stove ...

Ah, life is good in Minnesota. And those silly southerners just think it's cold here.

Update: aucarol's 2nd flight pushed back early & is now in the air, ETA is 7:12 (24 mins. early). So we should be good to go with everything on schedule this evening.

It appears that aucarol's first flight actually left on time -- this is no small feat for America's Sorriest Airline -- and is now approaching ATL looking for a place to roost.

But good grief, man, this thing has propellors. How quaint.
