I think there's been 5 or 6 of us posting in here...I've been lucky to hear that everyone I know is ok and the phone has been ringing with everyone else checking up on family.

MikeMpls was my first thought when I heard the news, because I'm familiar with him, as we post in a common thread, but I wasn't sure who some of the others were. I hope they are all accounted for and well also.

i have been in shock since first hearing of this.... i simply cannot believe it. few weeks ago we were doing a long training run along west river road and ran right under this bridge - have done it tons of times.
at some point, i need to go take a look to really believe it.

As a native Wisconsinite, I send my deepest sympathies to my fellow Upper Midwesterners. The terrible losses many families have suffered will be met with the support of one of the greatest communities in the nation.

I am so glad to hear from some familiar names, but like everyone, I am heartsick for the families of all those people who were injured or are missing. Thanks to OP for starting this thread, you have saved some of us from some worry.

Hi to all my MSP friends BTW, looks like most of you have chimed in and are fine.
Heard from one of my former HCMC colleagues, she reports that she and her family are safe, a couple of her friends passed over the bridge about 5 minutes before the collapse but are OK, and a friend of a friend was injured but will be OK. All of my former co-workers are safe and are pitching in at HCMC as they handle casualties. It was a long night waiting for her email, though.
Again, thoughts and prayers to those involved and to the Twin Cities in general.

My family and I are safe. Mom called last night, shaken up because she could reach my sister on her cell, but she called an hour later.
My prayers are with the victims and the family.
