Please Welcome Internet Brands to FlyerTalk
As you probably already know, Internet Brands now owns FlyerTalk and has owned FlyerTalk for approximately one month now.
JohnMcG is one of our newest FlyerTalk members. His name is John McGanty, and he is the General Manager of the Travel Division of Internet Brands. He posted the following, which is only the second time he has posted on FlyerTalk:

My name is John McGanty, and I'm the General Manager of the Travel Division of Internet Brands. It is great to see the appreciation expressed in many of these posts for the work both Randy and the FlyerTalk community have done in building FlyerTalk into such a valuable travel resource. Internet Brands is delighted to have the opportunity to become involved with FlyerTalk. I echo Randy's comments that we don't have an agenda for making changes to the site. We will look to the FlyerTalk community and moderators, as well as Randy and his team, to guide that visioning. Internet Brands brings some technical and business resources which we hope can make FlyerTalk even stronger. Randy has committed to staying actively involved with the site for years to come, and we are looking forward to the continued growth and success of FlyerTalk!

Welcome, McG! I know I've got my fingers crossed that there will be no "saveflyertalk.com" campaign going on. Flyertalk is a great community, and although somewhat of a business for Randy, it feels like home to us.

Thanks for the welcome messages! We're very excited to be getting involved with FlyerTalk. However, I don't think it signals any huge changes to the site or community. Randy and his team will be actively involved in the leadership of FT. We hope to bring some resources particularly on the back-end (tech, business, etc.) And we hope to learn a lot from the moderators, Talk Board and active participants in the FlyerTalk community. I plan to attend the moderator Do on 4/28, and look forward to meeting many of the moderators then.
