Microsoft DST "patch" changes Outlook Appointments!

Supposedly Microsoft's "patch" for the change in Daylight Savings Time has done more than just account for the new date... it's changing your appointments in your Outlook Calendar. For people like me who need to use Outlook's calendar with work to be able to coordinate with co-workers meetings and schedules, this could be very difficult to deal with.
We monitor each other's meetings to coordinate times where we can both meet (or a group of people meet). In other cases, where you're meeting with the CFO of your company for lunch, don't rely on your Outlook Calendar to let you know when to meet the CFO!!!

Yes - all of your appointments during the March - November period need to be fixed as they have the wrong times in them.

The "patch" also changes past history for all MS-OSes other than Vista. It applies the new start/end dates for DST to all years, so historical data for programs that use the operating system to calculate date/time will change as if the 2007 DST rules were in place. This is REALLY messing stuff up! Micro$oft's techie answer can be found here:
To retrieve accurate historical DST values, you must create your own implementation that understands the adjustments required and can manipulate the underlying Windows date and time information.
