Suggestions for Tonight in Long Beach, CA?

Hey LA-area (and all other) FTers. I am in Long Beach to attend a medical conference and lo and behold, my plans for tonight just fishizzled out. So I have to figure out what to do. It is probably too late to blow the DO-whistle, so I am just asking for suggestions of where to go. I don't have a car, and don't mind cabbing or walking.

I spend a lot of time in Beverly Hills, Century City, West Hollywood, but don't know this area at all!!

Suggestions??

I just read your post and unfortunately, I have a meeting in South Orange County tonight. I was at Madison's last night for dinner and recommend either the ribeye or the delmonico strip.

If you walk up Pine north of Ocean there are some good restaurants. Smooth's is a sports bar. If you walk down the hill south of Ocean there are more restaurants and a pretty good Irish Pub, Auld Dublinner.

Sorry that I cannot make it tonight but I have this meeting and cannot get out of it. Be careful, it is starting to cool down and get foggy down along the coast.

Thanks, Sharon. I actually wound up staying in the hotel tonight, but since I am here until Thursday and in Century City Friday I will make up for not doing much tonight!!

Hope all is well...
