Lightbulb 21-23 SEP 07: The Zurich Yodeldee-Do!

Registration and pre-payment for the Yodeldee-Do are now closed. If you've missed it, stay tuned for a future Yodeldee-Do! In the meantime, pictures will be available at www.yodeldeedo.com

Grüezi mitenand and welcome to charming Zurich, Switzerland, where a fearless group of Flyertalkers has decided to stage the first Swiss Yodeldee-Do, from Friday September 21st to Sunday September 23rd, 2007. Our website www.yodeldeedo.com is now online and tells you what's in store.

The website features the detailed program for all three exciting days, starting with "urban downtown" on Friday, continuing to "truly Switzerland" on Saturday and winding up with the "unique airport day" on Sunday. It's a weekend packed to the brims that should give you the best of Zurich and plenty of quality time to spend with your Flyertalk friends old and new.

If you have signed up via Eventbrite, make sure to send a note to our webmaster FLYGVA at flight_info [AT] yodeldeedo.com to let him know your flight and hotel details, which he can then post on the website. If you have any questions regarding the Eventbrite registering / payment process, our "secretary of the treasury" alex0683de can be reached at payment2007 [AT] yodeldeedo.com . And for any other questions or issues, airoli can be emailed at via contact2007 [AT] yodeldeedo.com .

Herzlich willkomme and looking forward to seeing you in Zurich.

Thanks a lot for posting Airoli, I believe there is no need to mention that I will attend

Seconded! And thanks for getting the ball rolling, I think we're in for a great time.

I've also made an announcement on the BA board - as I suspected, there is a fair number of the infamous BA I-Fares available on that weekend.

Thanks, Alex for the heads up!

With the withdrawal of SQ ZRH-MAN-ZRH, I thought my two trips to ZRH last year would be my last for a while but I'm glad to see that this isn't the case!

So without further ado I'm booked on the following flights:

BA714 LHR-ZRH
21 Sep 11:55
21 Sep 14:35

BA717 ZRH-LHR
23 Sep 17:15
23 Sep 18:05

I also have a cancellable reservation at the ArabellaSheraton Neues Schloss.

Looking forward to seeing more of ZRH (this time with locals)!

airoli- I'm definitely interested in a ZRH DO, especially the first! How can I resist a tour of the Lindt chocolate factory? Thank you for organizing this. Looking forward to seeing you again.

What a pleasant way to make my 600th post!

Airoli - It would be great to meet you again and this Do sounds fantastic! It coincides with Mrs TEX277's birthday and I am sure she'd love to spend it at Lindt.

Please do put us down as 'more than likely' to attend!

Before price rises, I almost booked last year a CRW* starting from BTS and was hoping that I could attend this Do (although I've never posted in the game thread!). Is the date for the BTS Do now definitely confirmed for this weekend ?

Perfect timing - this is usually the week of my annual
hike-in-the-Alps adventure.

Put me in as a definite likely.
