2006 was my first year on FlyerTalk (Feb 2006) and I learned a great deal from all of the FlyerTalkers. When I found this site, I had no idea of all of the perks and benefits that one could get from flying. Because of you, I have status on UA, and enough miles to get me and my girlfriend wherever we want to go (although, you can never have enough miles
). I now find flying addictive, instead of just getting from point A to point B.
So, thank you to all of you who have made this an exciting year of flying for me.^ ^ ^ I hope that everyone has a great 2007!

I second that!
I joined FT back in May 2006 and I have learned a great deal from this site.
Even though I don't fly often, I'm able to see the importance of elite status. I obtained my SE on NW back in August with the help of FT.
I was able to attend my first Flyertalk Do and let me tell ya .. great bunch we have here on FT!
Here's to a great 2007 on FT ... more mistake fares, better chance of upgrades, higher status and less airlines fiasco ^

Happy to hear that you have enjoyed FT as much as I have!^ I have met in the ballpark of 100 FT'ers this year, and spent more time on here then I should. It really is a great community, and I would like to add my thanks!^

I feel like I've found my home at FlyerTalk. I only officially joined very recently however I've been reading the posts for a little while now.
Few people who know me believe me when I say I have discovered a forum where people know far more about miles, airlines, oversells (I love volunteering when I can - its just too bad half the time they're begging and upping the compensation I just can't do it), mileage runs, etc than I do. Many people who know me but don't know of FlyerTalk insist nobody can know more than I know about this stuff. You all put me to shame and I love every minute of reading Flyer Talk.
2006 has been a good year, achieving status with three airlines.
I can't wait until I have the opportunity to meet some of you at events in 2007, I'm very much looking forward.
Thanks for everything I've learned, and thanks for providing a forum where I feel I belong. ^ ^ ^
