My first 1,000 days
According to my profile, my first day on FlyerTalk was 6 April 2004. So, that makes today (31 December 2006) my 1,000th day on FT.
In that time, I've made nearly 7,000 posts (over 6,000 in the United Mileage Plus forum) and started 146 threads. My first post was in the United Mileage Plus forum in a thread about leakage of email addresses, and I was welcomed by nerd. I hope I've generally been right more often than not, and that I haven't offended anyone too badly in the process.
I was a Premier member of Mileage Plus when I began, and never dreamed that I would ever become a 1K, but because of all the great information and advice I've received on FlyerTalk, that became a reality (for me and my wife) this past week. We're already planning how best to use our SWUs and other upgrades and to guarantee that we'll make 1K again next year (yes, we're really spoiled now).
For everything I've learned, and all the great people I've met (both online and in person) and all the great people I still hope to meet,

Congratulations! And, congrats especially for keeping so many of your posts on the UA forum.
FT needs more miles+points-driven posters like you.

Congratulations on your 1,000 days and many more posts. As I lurk and unlurk depending on whether I have useful information to provide, need useful information from others, or simply have more or less time, yours is one of the names I've seen often and trusted.
It was nice to meet you in the SQ lounge in SFO earlier this month, as well. ^ Hope to run into you again somewhere out there in the world.
