Where will you be on NYE?

I'll be in NY, probably watching the ball drop for the first time! So where will you be?

Home in SYD for the first NYE in a while.
goodo, did you get to Harlem for the celebration of JB's life?
It's overcast and cool here, not what you'd expect for a normal Sydney NYE.

North of SAN but similar.
Well, probably from my bed rather than balcony because I can't kick this nasty cold/flu.

My absolute favorite NYE place to be is Taos, New Mexico taking over most of the rooms at the Mabe Dodge Luhan house with friends and wandering down to the Taos Inn late in the evening to meet new folks. No fireworks, no excitement, just a beautiful place and great start for the new year. (Must start suggesting that for 2007/2008)

Indoors, hiding from the thick fog of firework smoke that'll set over HNL. Driving on the roads is really an adventure on NYE, with visibility at about a few feet in some areas of town.

Of course, I'll be out near midnight to see the fireworks.

In San Francisco. NYE is one of the few holidays where we always stick around home.

I'll be home for the first time in about 9 years, by myself. Girlfriend has to work and I have friends in town, but they want to go to the Strip; been there, done that.

I'm going to BBQ and hang out with my friends until they decide they're going to the Strip, then I'll watch one of the NYE shows on TV.

AMS. Sure I can get into trouble somehow.

Last year was SYD. Awesome. But it was 46C on New Year's Day last year!

We will be having dinner with four other couples at a restaurant, which is not far from the Space Needle. Good food, good music, dancing and good company. It should be fun.
