Smile Thailand Adventure

I'm a male from NYC going to Thailand for the first time Dec. 17th to Jan 20th 2007. I'm travelling alone and looking to meet up with some people and enjoy thailand's experiances. I'm travelling on a budget and haven't made any plans yet. I do want to do some diving on the islands and cultural stuff. Contact me if you want to meet up and do some things together. I could use some advice on hostels and stuff. I'm flying into Bankok on the 17th of december and have a hostel booked for a few days then it's whatever.

Welcome to FT shadezoblue.

FT has its own Thailand forum where you may well find out a lot more about what the country has to offer.

There is also a dedicated budget forum to help you out too.

Good luck

Just a heads-up...assuming you're traveling on a U.S. passport, and you arrive BKK then you will be stamped in on Dec. 17 for 30 days. That means you can stay until Jan. 15, 2007, at which time you can leave and re-enter Thailand or apply for an extension in-country. You might consider getting a single entry 60 day Tourist Visa at a Thai Embassy or Consulate (or Honorary Consul General) in the U.S. prior to your departure.
