Irish Do anyone? - nov 24
I have put together a small DO right outside of Dublin near the airport. It will be at the Pub known as Gibney's next the the train station and castle. Dart serves this station from Dublin and you can just walk off the train and into the pub. No one has made any recommendations on times so how about we just get together for a lunch do at noon? PM me if interested.
OK I will start a list of attendees: drbond +4 Work2fly Spiff Skye1 GoldCircle Gnoops tazan007 I went ahead and set a date of Friday the 24th since there is a preference for that date. I have a reservation (may be changed) at Gibney's Off License for 20 at the moment. They will serve us food as well as drink. Need to get a time from everyone, Mr. Gibney recommends 11am as it should be quiet then. They take VI/MC/AX and Laser. They are willing to block off a large area for us. From the airport take the motorway to the Malahide exit and head toward Malahide to the castle, they are right next to the train station. If you are coming by DART, get off the train and walk in. :D Just went to Gibney's in malahide, from the train station walk up onto the high street and walk to the left down to the traffic light. That is the intersection of new street, you will see an ulster bank across from you. cross over to that side of the road and walk to the left (down hill) from ulster bank and Gibney's is the red buildings on the right. I will be looking forward to seeing everyone, we will be there at noon on friday the 24th. BCNU If you are staying at the airport hilton the street in front of you is malahide road. |
Thought someone was suggesting Dublin again and I was going to be the first to jump in. Oh well, some day. Have fun in Gorey!

I will be in DUB from 11/24 - 11/26 for the first time.
I'm definitely interested in meeting up with other Flyertalkers. |

I can meet in Dublin between 24th and 26th.
'''' deleted reference to Eddie Rockets, were not going there '''' There are also some pubs in Swords if that were the choice and there is a Hilton at the Airport. I can find a good pub and put it on here on the night of the 22nd if that is what people would like to do. Can people get into Dublin or would they prefer Swords about 2km from the airport. |
If you all would like I could arrainge a sightseeing day in Dublin or we could just gather for Food, Drinks and Gab.
|
I'm staying at the airport Hilton - so it seems either Swords or Dublin would be convenient for me. I'm up for whatever works best for the group.
food, drink and craic sound fantastic... |
I edited the thread title to show the date you discuss. Please contact me if you need more details.

Yep, Rynair does have some el cheapo deals. Actually, BA and Aer Lingus aren't too bad either, if I was desperate for segments :D. I'll likely be in the UK on Friday evening/Saturday, so a Thursday afternoon--Friday early afternoon time in Dublin works for me. |
