Yay, I can actually reply!

... to say I won't be up there. If I could, I would ^

As odd as it sounds, I would suggest good 'ole nondescript Peter's Cafe in Millbrae, right next to the Millbrae BART station. It's now my go-to place for meals. In the past 3 weeks I've been there 5 times (amazing, considering I'm only up there Th-F). One of the best chicken-fried steaks I've had! Of course, you'd have to like diner food

How about someplace like Max's Opera or Il Fornio in Burlingame? I see Prime on the Avenue and Roti Indian are iDines, too

Max's is probably the closest. Is getting to the location from the airport an issue?

If so (and you can't find someone to volunteer to give you a ride, the best choices would be restaurants on bayshore (such as max's) where you can walk to them from the hotels (how you can get to the hotels from the airport is left as an exercise to the reader), or restaurants on El Camino Real in Millbrae which are in walking distance from the Millbrae BART station (one stop from the airport).

Off the top of my head, restaurants on Bayshore in Burlingame include: Max's (Deli), Gulliver's (Prime Rib and other English cooking in a kitschy 18th century environment), and Beni Hana. Additionally the hotels themselves have some restaurants.

On El Camino Real there are several Chinese (cantonese) restaurants including Fook Yuen and the Hong Kong Flower Lounge, the diner mentioned above, a Viet Namese Restaurant next to it. Other random restaurants exist here such as a fairly good sushi place, and an ok (but not great if my memory serves me) Thai place.

Sort of. Early up in the thread, Bammy did suggest a place near SFO. It works for me only in that I am flying into SFO around 7:15, so someplace near the airport would make it easier to make the dinner without being horribly late.

I can provide transport to Bamat and FlyinHawaiian, as I will most certainly be arriving in a car.

Venue Decided

Thanks everyone for your feedback about a dinner spot. Let's go with Kincaid's. I'll update the first post with the details.

Unhappy

Sorry gang - can't make this one. I'm headed back to MKE on 11/27.
Have fun, and I'll make the next one. My project in MKE is almost over.

I will - wish I could make it. It looks like a pretty good list of FT'ers!

Yes. Yes he does. And Veuve.
flyinryan would love to come, but flyinryan hasta go on the road and do his thing to make the cheddah for him and his company. When flyinryan's upgrade clears, he will have some of the "wine" from domestic 2-class F and toast his FT friends who will be drinking the good stuff...
