DID ANY OF YOU MEET UP?!

I met Julest and her brother at the hostel in Bucharest. We were on the same flight to AMS.

please don't put trip reports in the community thread - communitybuzz is not the forum for trip reports and we all want the thread to stay in communitybuzz! - don't we? splitting threads later and moving those posts to the trip report forum is alot of work for the moderators.

Per the request of the mods maybe someone could start a BUH/AMS trip report thread. Post the link in here because I have not found that forum yet. Personally it seems to me that keeping it in one thread makes sense, but I guess I am just silly that way.

If check-in staff doesn't give an invitation or if landside check-in is circumvented (i.e., "airside" transits), the OTP lounge staff can fill out an invitation as well -- at least for those whom they know are entitled to access (including all SkyTeam ElitePlus members flying a SkyTeam carrier that day). Presenting the KL (or even AZ) boarding pass and a DL/NW/CO Platinum card (or anyother ElitePlus card) to the OTP lounge desk person will get the person to fill in a blank lounge card with the appropriate details and permit access thereby. It works pretty well.

The lounge can be pretty crowded often enough and the internet PCs don't always work, but it functions and the staff there have been friendly and helpful whenever I've been there lounge card given in advance or not.

Okay, I've started a Trip Reports thread. I'll PM chrissxb to make the appropriate transfers.

:-: updated :-:

My apologies to the folks who emailed itins. When I make a mental note of posted itins, sometimes I forget that I need to actually add them to the calendar! Thanks for your patience.

Just an FYI: I'm not typing in AMS as a connection since it's a given. AMS will be posted if it's a stopover.

Thanks to all who are participating in the FT spirit and community-ness that is this calendar and to those who have posted their Reports after travel.

Oh, Santa Claus got in on this deal!? He's on our calendar.

Dear Santa, you could've added two stopovers to your itin or routed yourself through US cities. Lucky kids in YVR and OTP. And you got around the 7 day min. ;)

I think Santa has been on there for a couple of months! He must have friends at NWA, or got his change in early!

Is Santa WP Elite? Or is he boycotting DL in support of karthik? Who flies from BRW anyway? Well, let's hope he gets his upgrades. He deserves to ride up front. And the reindeer need a break.

Corrections made, davetravels. Thanks for the email.

imm2b, you and Santa Claus apparently will be on the same YVR-AMS fight. ;)

Alaska Airlines! Of course. :) He must have gotten a good deal, as this flight alone to YVR or SEA is $500-$1000!

Here's one more:

Sun 6/10/07 YYZ-DTW-AMS (After driving up from Buffalo)
MON 6/11/07 AMS-OTP

SUN 6/17/07 OTP-AMS
SUN 6/1707 AMS-YYZ
Overnight at YYZ hotel (where my car will be parked) and then drive home.

Not sure what I'll be doing for that week. If anyone else will be there at that time and is in the same boat too, I'd be up for planning something together.

Cheers
