Looking for a PHX Mileage Run Partner

Hello. I recently moved from OMA to PHX and I am interested in doing weekend mileage runs so I can rack up the points/miles to get frequent flyer trips back to OMA to see my girlfriend.

Anyone in PHX interested in a flying partner?

Since this isn't really about MR's, but more about finding someone with whom to do them, I'm going to move this to community.

MilesPointsMiles: welcome to FT! You may want to check your strategy. (Apologize in advance for the TravelBuzz/MileageBuzz aspect here): You could, of course do relatively cheap flights PHX to SAN/LAX/TUS/LAS; but, both PHX and OMA are Southwest cities and have N/S service between them, so maybe a strategy would be to use those RTs to fuel more credits/miles for future tripa without the need to do MRs to fund relatively inexpensive trips between cities having the Southwest effect. Now if your girlfriend lived in HNL or LHR, that would be different.

Maybe I'm confused here but how would making multiple trips to those cities help me? A free flight on SW takes 16 segments which is 8 RTs. If I make eight RT flights at a Ding Price of $72 that would cost me $576 and give me a free flight to OMA. Flights from PHX to OMA average $350 or less, $218 if I book in advance and get lucky.

Am I missing something?

So am I understanding you correctly that you're only doing WN segment runs?

Now that you're in PHX where does US fit in your flying? How much AA flying do you do?

I am open to any airline and any destination MR at a great deal so I can rack up miles/segments so I can get to OMA from PHX.

I have miles in NW, AA, SW, Delta, Frontier.

Thanks and thanks for the welcomes.

US
Well I plan on doing some HP(US) segment runs next year. If you decide to join up with US, maybe you can hitch along.

AA
I'm planning some LAX/PHX/SFO-LGW/LHR/DUB/SNN runs on AA from Sept-Dec. These runs are for status more than miles so I'm not sure if you'd be interested.

WN
I can't bring myself to fly WN anymore.

I'm just not getting how this all works. I see people getting and talking about their good deals and racking up the points but cannot figure out how they do it.

I will go to the PHX FT get together, maybe that will help.
